Every AI action — a reply, a translation, reading a screenshot, digitizing a diagram — is one run. Each plan is a number of runs a day, and the count starts again at midnight UTC.

    40× the Free allowance. Allowances belong to one person each and are not pooled.

What counts as a run

  • Every AI action is one run, whatever it is — fixing grammar costs the same as generating an image.
  • Opening a diagram in Excalidraw is free.
  • A request turned away before it reaches a model is not counted.

What never uses one

  • Recording, bookmarks, history and settings work without an account and never use a run.
  • Region capture is an AI action: the crop exists to be read by a vision model, so it counts.

When it resets

  • Every day at midnight UTC. Unused runs do not carry over.
  • When a run is refused for the allowance, the message says when it comes back, in your own time.

Before you pick a plan

The terms say the same things at length. Read the terms.

What happens when I run out?

AI actions are paused until the next daily reset; everything that does not use AI keeps working. Running out never costs extra — there are no overage charges, and a plan only changes when you choose one.

Do I need my own OpenAI key?

No. Model access is part of every plan, Free included. A self-hosted Typeglass is different: it runs on its operator's own key, and these plans do not apply to it.

Is Team a shared pool?

No. Every allowance belongs to one account. Team is a larger personal allowance, not seats.
